Security4Transit (S4T) has been formed from the security bag business of BagMasters Australia, the tamper-evident security device business of Tebco International, and the merging of the security seal and one-time use satchel businesses from the Sewlex Group.
Company History
The Sewlex Group has been operating for over 20 years and is a respected manufacturer of custom-made security products both in Australia and Asia. Sewlex was formed in the mid-1980's by Bruce and Maureen Bond.
In its early days, Sewlex manufactured mail satchels and cash bags but diversified into general bags and then security bags through the formation of BagMasters Australia in 1989. During the 1990's, the company established its security design credentials and won a first prize from ACASPA for high achievement with its Secur-a-File product.
Around 2000, Bruce Bond formed a strategic relationship with Paul Lantz of A Rifkin in the USA and they formed Tebco (tamper evident bag company), designing a range of tamper-evident security devices and seals for fitment to bags and satchels. Following these innovations, the company manufactured security products as an OEM for a number of security products companies in Australia and New Zealand. Tebco security bags are now used throughout the world by leading security, transport, financial, gaming and law enforcement organisations.
Awards for Excellence
In 2005-2006, the company was a winner of the Monash Business Awards for Export and Innovation and in 2009, the Metropolitan Fire Brigade awarded the company with a commendation for innovative design and manufacture of equipment bags over a 15 year period.

Security4Transit is a member of the Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL) and, through Sewlex Group, a foundation member of Australian Industry Group (Ai Group).
